What makes the Camino Baztanés special?

The Camino Baztanés links the city of Bayonne, in France, with Pamplona, in Spain, through a route of approximately 100 kilometres. This route crosses the idyllic landscapes of the Baztan Valley, full of lush forests, green meadows and picturesque villages that look like something out of a fairy tale.

The route, less busy than other main routes such as the French Way, offers a quieter and more intimate experience, ideal for those looking to enjoy nature and reflect in solitude or in small groups.

• Urdazubi/Urdax hostel: Located in a beautiful natural setting, this hostel offers everything you need to recharge your batteries after a day’s walk.

• Amaiur/Maya hostel: This small village, famous for its history and medieval arch, is an ideal place to stop and enjoy the tranquillity of the valley.

• Elizondo hostel: In the heart of the Baztan Valley, Elizondo combines modern services with the traditional charm of the area.

An obligatory stop: our cheese dairy

Our cheese dairy is located in Legasa, very close to the route of the Baztan Route, which makes it a perfect stop for pilgrims looking for a break and a delicious snack. Here you can taste our artisan cheeses, made with local products and following traditional recipes and recharge your batteries in a quiet environment, surrounded by nature.
